Instagram is working on Reactions for Direct Messages
Currently, “non-employees can only see the ❤️ reaction”
Facebook’s Tech Comms Manager @alexvoica confirmed this unreleased feature and this is “something they’ve been testing for a few days” pic.twitter.com/EzVWfA6Doo

As you can see above in the screenshot that all emoji are only available to internal employees. For the non-employee of the company, only heart emoji is accessible.
Recommendation: Instagram Removes IGTV Option From Its Home Screen
Reason For Testing
Twitter and other messaging platforms already implemented this feature so this makes complete sense to include this feature. This will give more engagement to the company. Instagram is looking for a quick reaction for the Stories as well.
Users will be waiting to use this new feature.
