Ban on sale of cattle has been on news recently and debate on the same is trending on the web. Co-founder of travel space MakeMyTrip is being trolled on Twitter after he took on this micro blogging to share his disapproval over the prohibition.
Joshi’s statement that went viral
Keyur Joshi said that, “If Hinduism takes away right to choice of food, I rather not be a Hindu. The PM and BJP can’t decide what people eat”.
In another tweet, Joshi additionally included that in spite of the fact that he has been a veggie, he would now eat meat in India to bolster opportunity for food.
People starts boycott of the MakeMyTrip
However these statements became the objective of online vitriol and as a result of this people started boycott of the brand in disagreement. In reprise of what happened with Snapdeal after the statement of Snpachat’s co-founder on India, some of the users of MakeMyTrip also started uninstalling of the app and submitting negative reviews.

Joshi issued an apology before removing his account from Twitter altogether.

MakeMyTrip said that Joshi is no longer the decision maker in its day-to-day operations and it is conveyed by it that the statement made by him do not reflect the company’s perspectives.
Additionally, company also made a statement that, “MakeMyTrip is a responsible corporate citizen with very high regard and respect for the laws of the land and the esteemed government of India”.
