NetApp, US based storage and data Management Company, launched NetApp Excellerator programme in Bengaluru and this would be its first step in nurturing and supporting of startups in the country.
Programme was initiated at NetApp’s campus
The programme was initiated with the presence of venture capitalists, customers, partners, and the Mohandas Pai who is an IT expert at its new campus which is spread in 15-acre area of the land.
Why the company initiated its accelerator programme
Deepak Visweswaraiah, Managing Director and Senior Vice President at NetApp India, said that, “The tech industry is going through a transformational shift with data right at the centre. Through the NetApp Excellerator programme, we would like to encourage and support start-ups and provide them with an opportunity to graduate to their next phase of growth”.
Startups can apply now
The application is now open for startups for the programme which will have a tenure of four months. Company will serve an equity-free grant to the startups of the value $15000 when programme will be finished.
Which startups can apply for this programme
Programme welcomed the startups from areas like IOT, big data and analytics, cloud, visualization, machine learning, storage and data management, data security, and other parallel areas.
Benefits acquired by the selected startups
After the programme, the startups which will be selected will gain mentorship for technology and business along with the access to investors and markets to understand the maximum capacity of their thoughts and items in the worldwide commercial center.
The selected startups will get an access to NetApp platforms and its technology co-working space, tools, marketing, HR, tech support and legal.
NetApp excellerator will provide several opportunities to startups
The NetApp Excellerator program would assist start-ups with reach to tools that would help them to collaborate and increase productivity. These services would be available out of its global centre of excellence based out of Bengaluru. It would also provide networking opportunities with partners, investors and potential customers.
