About Investor
Benori Ventures LLP is currently being led by Ashish Gupta who was the earlier associated with Evalue serving as COO. It is the first time when Benori ventures has invested in a healthcare company.
How Will The Fund Be Utilized
According to CEO and cofounder, Kunal Kishore Dhawan, the Company will use this fund for enhancement of business and technology; well he didn’t talk about the quantity of fund.
About Navia
Dhawan, Gaurav Gupta, and Shourjo Banerjee established the Navia in 2015. This is a digital platform for healthcare management that develops customized application for mobiles which can be vigorously used by doctors, hospitals, pharmaceutical agencies, and clinics for patient compliance, monitoring, and engagement.
Current Clients And Charges Applied By The Startup
Last month it got its first two clients and they are about to confirm two more clients asap. It has developed an app for Delhi based Radix healthcare hospital and a homeopathy app for a clinic. This startup charges its clients on annual basis. It charges Rs 35000 to Rs 2 lakh per year for an app according to size and scale of clients. For example, a clinic may be charged its initial fees of around Rs 35000 while a big hospital may get charged with Rs 2 lakh.
About Application
Dhawan said, “The cost includes app development, licensing and other expenses. We own the intellectual property and all patients are registered on our platform”. It also developed a B2C application that will be a health manger for patients and monitor their treatment progress.
In fact it is seeking for adding some more features in app as well.
Significant Personnel Of The Company
Dhawan was earlier associated with Fresenius Kabi, a Germany based medical device manufacturing company. Banerjee who is the chief technology officer worked at Free scale Semiconductor prior to this startup. The start-up is being mentored by Deepak Kapoor who was the chairman at Indian leg of PwC and Ritesh Malik who is the cofounder of Innov8.
Other Contenders In Marketplace That Has Raised Funding
Some other healthcare startups have also raised funding from different investors in last couple of months, like One97 communication which is the parent company of Paytm sponsors QorQI, Healthcare startup Moreover, Konsult App Pvt Ltd, Delhi based healthcare startup and tele-consultation platform, owned $500000 through seed funding and Elite Tech Healthcare Pvt, Gurgaon based e-diagnostic company, which runs Klinic App has got an undisclosed amount of funds in seed funding.
